Interested in computer technology, but don't know where to start?Great thing about learning computer technology is you can do it at your own home. Actually, that's how a lot of people in the tech field started including people like Steve Wozniak, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg--all of them started computer technology at home before doing it in school.
To begin, all you need is a computer and internet. All sorts of information are available on the internet, you live in a time where a lot of informations (including education) are easily accessible for free online. Another thing is if you have any questions regarding computer technology is to Google it. Like how to build a computer, computer hardware lesson, coding, and much more. www.pluralsight.com -Netflix of education! For a monthly subscription fee, you have access to thousands of professionally created online courses for wide variety of subjects like coding, information technology, business, design and much more. The courses are well done and put together with high quality lessons. www.google.com -Want to look for more lessons/courses? Search on Google and you'll find bunch. www.raspberrypi.org -Raspberry Pi is a micro computer (You just need a monitor, keyboard, small case, OS, mouse, microSD card, and a power connector) that only cost $35.00. You can modify it into a file sharing server, home theater PC, personal computer, robotics, and much more. It can either be a great project to work on or just for regular computer use. All types of projects you can do can be found online with step-by-step instructions. Here is what the computer looks like, the size is roughly the same as a credit card. Computer Disassembling and Reassembling Another tip is to find a computer that is no longer in use. Use that computer to take it apart and put it back together. This will give you an idea of how hardware are put together. Also, since it's a computer that's no longer in use, if you break anything then you don't have to worry. |
Useful addons to have for your web browser |
If you have web browsers like Chrome, FireFox, and etc., you can download extension/app tools that supplement your web browser. Extension tools like pop up blocker is useful if you want all pop ups to be blocked.
